To Earl, the master and creator of bluegrass banjo.

Just listen to that backup, my favorite part of his playing.  It’s hard to comprehend that he taught himself everything.  Greatest ever.  That’s that.

The first time I heard Earl on the radio, I couldn’t tell if it was a banjo or electric guitar or if it was lightning bolts from heaven.
